Raghul Rajchandar
Hey everyone,
I’m Raghul, and I am thrilled to be running for Secretary of Imperial’s Cardiovascular Society. As a representative subcommittee of Oncology Society, I have organised renowned clinicians to present their integral research at surgical talks, liaised with speakers for our national surgical conference and moderated the Society’s lecture series taught by IMT doctors for preclinical medical students.
Advertising the National University Respiratory Conference and helping run the International OesophagoGastric Cancer Conference has taught me what makes an event engaging. Co-founding Imperial Polygeia, a global health think tank, has honed my skills in arranging opportunities for aspiring cardiologists.
Since my role as President of my school’s Medical Society, I’ve had a profound appreciation for social interactivity and wish to incorporate this into our Society’s future events. As a Phase 1B lecturer for MedEd, I acknowledge the vital role that mentors play in shaping students’ aspirations.
As your Secretary, I promise to:
- value our members at the forefront and ensure that adequate support is provided in elevating our society.
- collaborate with other cardiovascular societies to expand our reach and build connections with influential charities and start-ups.
- maintain transparent communication throughout the committee when executing high-quality events.
Ultimately, we are all united by our fascination with the heart and our relentless pursuit towards knowledge. Vote for me as your Secretary, and I will work diligently to keep our members informed, fulfilled and inspired throughout the year, all while driving positive change to the next generation of cardiologists. Thank you!
