We are thrilled to announce our candidacy for Co-Chairs of the Cardiovascular Society! As Vice Chair and Head of Events, we have been deeply involved in the society’s growth and success. Our journey has been incredibly rewarding, and we are excited to bring our experience to lead the society to even greater heights.

Our Experience:

• Annual Cardiology Conference: We contributed to the organisation this flagship event, ensuring it was engaging and memorable. From speaker coordination to logistics, we gained invaluable experience in event planning.
• Cardio Connect: We introduced this research networking event, fostering collaborations between students and cardiology professionals.
• National Cardiology Teaching Series: We supported this initiative, which delivered high-quality educational opportunities.

Our goals for this year:

• Cardiology Mentorship Programme: Establishing a structured system to connect students with professionals for career guidance, research support, and portfolio-building.
• Expanding Cardio Connect: Growing this event to include more speakers and researchers, creating a platform for students to explore research opportunities.
• Cardiology Skills Workshops: Introducing hands-on workshops throughout the year on topics like ECG interpretation, heart murmurs, and clinical emergencies to boost confidence and competence.
• Student-Led Journal Club: Launching this to foster critical thinking and engagement with groundbreaking cardiology research.
• Creating a Subcommittee: Providing younger students with early exposure to cardiology and ensuring the society remains inclusive and accessible.
