Hellooo I’m Jan, and I’m running for Publicity Officer for the A Cappella Society this year!

Having been around the society for a while, I’ve gotten to know each group’s vibe and the people in them, so I think it’d be a great chance to be in charge of the socials and show future members what they are missing. Sort of.

For me, aca publicity is all about the representation. I want to highlight each group in a way that feels personal and engaging — especially leading up to auditions— and with six groups and the whole process being a whole matchmaking event, I definitely think socials can make it easier for people to be excited about joining the society and I think I can make it entertaining.

Beyond just posts and videos, I’d love to add variety to our content. Having worked on publicity for Nth and the Filipino society, I’ve done random skits and videos and challenges for all these accounts so thought I could continue with the a cappella account.

But to keep it short, I value aesthetic, a good Canva design and commentary to make the Instagram really pop so running the socials would be fun but I’m sure explain more at AGM, see you there!
