Gospel choir has enriched my university experience immensely by providing a safe place to worship God in a community of passionate believers.

Before applying to the role, I came across this verse:

Isaiah 59:21

‘ As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.’

I want to keep exploring ways to use creativity when serving God, continuing the legacy of proclaiming God's goodness and representing him through this gospel choir.

Being a youth choir leader in my church, I have learned that devotion, patience and humility in a leadership role will bring success. More significantly, I have discovered how working alongside your team can foster unity. Therefore, I hope to have the opportunity to collaborate with the future committee with the aim of being committed and contributing to the choir’s growth success.

I want to continue to be a part of a society that tells of God’s salvation and celebrates in his presence. I have been blessed with the support of the gospel choir members, which has made me realise that beyond teaching songs, I aspire to be an empathetic and holistic member of the committee so people can come to me whenever they need support.
