Hello everyone,

I’m Sajid Zaman, and I’m running for BanglaSoc General Executive! BanglaSoc is more than just a society—it’s a community that brings people together through culture, heritage, and shared experiences. I want to help it grow, ensuring our events are well-organised, accessible, and enjoyable for all.

Over the past two years, I’ve been actively involved in student societies, helping to run successful and engaging events:

• ISoc Brother’s Events Officer – Organised speaker events and led Fresher’s Fortnight.
• BSoc MAA Month Subcommittee – Helped run a successful charity campaign.
• BADG Environmental Care Co-Head – Organised a community volunteer event.
• ISoc Fresher Rep – Assisted in planning and managing large-scale events.
• Reformation Charity Volunteer – Gained hands-on experience in community initiatives.

BanglaSoc should be a place where everyone feels welcome and has the opportunity to connect, learn, and enjoy. If elected, I will:

• Ensure smooth-running, high-quality events that celebrate our culture.
• Encourage inclusivity and engagement, so everyone feels involved.
• Support the committee in delivering fresh, exciting initiatives to strengthen the society.
