Hi, I’m Yeline, a Biomedical Engineering student who’s been part of this amazing society for the past two years; initially as Robogals Liaison Officer and then as IWD Officer. During this time, I’ve gained insight into how our committee operates, met some truly inspiring people, and seen firsthand how much impact we can make when we work together.
Leading the iGEM team this year has been an incredible journey. From fundraising and pitching proposals to forming valuable partnerships with industry and academics, I’ve learned how to communicate our vision and negotiate opportunities that truly elevate our projects. I believe these experiences have prepared me well to step into the Industrial Liaison role.
If elected, I’ll use my enthusiasm and skills to:
• Expand our connections with industry leaders and secure new resources and sponsorships
• Develop workshops and events that provide real-world insights, career guidance, and networking opportunities
• Collaborate closely with academic mentors, ensuring that our members benefit from both cutting-edge research and professional expertise
I’m genuinely passionate about strengthening our society’s presence and helping every member grow. By building bridges between our community and the wider professional world, we can unlock endless possibilities, from future internships to innovative collaborations.
Thank you for considering me for Industrial Liaison. I’m excited about what we can achieve together and would be honored to keep working hard for this wonderful society!
