Women in SET: Junior Treasurer

As Junior Treasurer of the Women in SET Society, I will ensure our finances are managed transparently and efficiently. Pursuing Biomedical Technology Ventures (an interdisciplinary degree in Bioengineering and Entrepreneurship), I bring a unique perspective on innovation and financial management. Growing up, I was inspired by the incredible women in STEM like Ada Lovelace, Marie Curie and countless other female scientists who paved the way for future generations, and I am passionate about supporting women in these fields and promoting gender equality.

My goals are to assist in securing new sponsorships or grants, help develop a detailed annual budget, and organize financial literacy workshops. I will also support the introduction of quarterly financial reports to keep everyone informed. Being a Junior Treasurer will be a fantastic learning experience, allowing me to grow and contribute without overwhelming responsibilities.

I believe that by working together, we can build a financially robust and dynamic Women in SET Society that empowers and supports women in STEM fields. Let's make this year our most successful yet, celebrating our achievements and inspiring future generations of women in science, engineering, and technology!
