Cross Country & Athletics: Mens Captain

For those who don't already know me, I'm Ananjan Ganguli, a 2nd Year Medic and your aspiring Men's team captain.

I've been running cross country for more than 10 years now, and this is my second with ICXAC, where I genuinely feel at home amongst all the amazing runners here at Imperial. From LUCAs to BUCs to outdoor opens, I've enjoyed every second running with Imperial, so running for Men's captain is my small way of giving back to the community.

No matter what your ability, I believe every runner who commits and participates deserves the greatest respect, and as Men's captain I want to cultivate and grow that culture of inclusion within the club, which is one of our clubs greatest strengths. For the past 2 years I have not missed a single LUCA race or BUCS National Cross, so you can count on me to deliver electrifying, aweinspiring, BIBLICAL LEVEL speeches every race, ensuring the adrenaline rush will push everyone to the finish line.

But my role wouldn't be confined to just the races. I pledge to help push every runner to be the best they can be. Planning training sessions tailored to individuals, leading sunday runs and social runs, or helping with organising activities (with social secs) for both the men and women in the club so they relax (recovery is key for performance) together and foster a sense of strong club unity. You can depend on me to be there every step of the way.
