Neuro: Teaching Co-ordinator

With my experience in the Neuroscience BSc and organising events across various societies, including the SurgSoc JAS tutorials, I aim to contribute to NeuroSoc by offering engaging and practical educational opportunities. As Teaching Co-ordinator, I hope to help create a learning environment where members can develop a deeper understanding of neuroscience.

Through interactive workshops, the goal is to provide practical experiences in areas such as neuroimaging, neurotechnology, alongside the core foundations of neurology. Incorporating peer-led teaching and member-driven events will encourage participation and allow members to share knowledge and build leadership skills. Expanding into emerging fields such as neurotechnology and computational neuroscience is important. By drawing on my experiences from the BSc and collaborating with experts, I hope to organise workshops and talks on relevant topics like data science in brain research and neurotech innovations.

Working with the social media and promotions team will help share content that reinforces important concepts, such as infographics and interactive quizzes. These resources will offer engaging ways for members to test their knowledge and consolidate key topics.Furthermore, encouraging involvement in teaching will further enhance members' understanding and help develop useful skills. With extensive background in both academics and societies, I aim to support the development of NeuroSoc members, enriching their learning experience and preparing them for future academic and professional opportunities.
