Nasia Giakoumakou
Hey! My name is Nasia and I’m a 2nd year medic. I’ve applied to be the teaching coordinator mainly because of my big interest in neurology and neurosurgery. This medical field completely fascinates me and I want to further develop my knowledge on it as well as meet others with the same interest as me so that we can exchange our thoughts and opinions on different neuro subjects. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed going to the neuro workshops of the society, especially the live brain dissections, and so, I really want to be part of the planning and organisation of those events as well as plan new teaching events for all the students, by involving more of our lecturers and other specialists of the field, such as interventional neuroradiologists- an interesting area which combines neuro and radiology and which could become more known to members of the society through the creation of an interactive workshop based on it. I also aim to increase the variety of workshops in order to engage the interest of all members of the society and provide all the members with the newest advancements of the field. In generally, I also aim to engage in the community by providing my ideas and engaging in convesations between the committee members on how to further improve the society and help in any way needed!
