Hi, I’m Emilia a 3rd year medical student and I’m running for Publicity Officer because I’m passionate about making sure all prospective medical students feel supported and informed when applying to medical school.
When I first considered applying to medical school, I had no clue where to start or what it all entailed. Thankfully, I was fortunate enough to find a mentor at my college who helped guide me through the process. Without that help, I truly believe I would have struggled, and the whole experience would’ve been far more stressful. I want to make sure no one else has to rely on luck for guidance. I’m determined to help ICSM Vision collaborate with as many colleges and sixth forms as possible to bridge the gap in the level of support available to prospective students.
I believe that everyone, no matter their background, should have equal access to the opportunities that medicine offers. As Publicity Officer, I will work to create materials that reflect this, ensuring they are clear, accessible, and inclusive.
I’ve previously had the role of Social Secretary on the IC Women’s Football Club committee, where I have developed my skills in communication, organization, and teamwork, which I will bring to the ICSM Vision committee.
