As a passionate advocate for widening participation, I have been deeply involved in Vision Society’s mission to help students from disadvantaged backgrounds access medical school. Having been actively involved in the WATCCH program, I understand how crucial it is to provide not just opportunities, but equitable access to resources and mentorship.

As Treasurer, my goal is to ensure that Vision Society’s resources are strategically managed to support and expand our outreach initiatives, ensuring that we can provide the best opportunities for students applying to medicine. With my experience as a Brain Book Ambassador, I have developed strong skills in fundraising, budgeting, and financial management, which I will use to:

• Maximise the impact of our budget by investing in initiatives that directly support widening participation, from UCAT workshops to interview preparation.
• Ensure transparency in all financial matters, giving clear updates on how funds are being used to further our mission.
• Secure funding through sponsorships and partnerships, ensuring that Vision can continue to grow and offer more resources to students.

With my dedication to Vision’s values, I will make sure that every penny is spent on initiatives that open the doors to medicine for all, regardless of background.
