Elakya Saravanakumar

Hi! My name is Elakya, I’m a third-year medical student and I am delighted to be running for the role of Treasurer of Neuro Society.

Having attended the society’s conference in previous years and gained valuable insight into its operations, I am eager to contribute to Neuro Soc by ensuring its financial growth. I like working with numbers and staying organised so this is the ideal role for me! Additionally, my roles in other societies have equipped me with a strong foundation and various skills, which I can employ to excel in this role.

As Treasurer, my main focus will be keeping our finances transparent and well-managed. I'll make sure funds are used wisely to support the conference, various educational schemes, and new opportunities for our members. Working closely with the committee, I'll help develop sustainable financial plans and explore grants to grow our funding.

I also want to ensure our spending aligns with the society’s goals. Plus, I'll work to keep membership fees and event costs fair and affordable while making sure members get the most value possible.

With my experience, dedication, and strategic mindset, I am confident in my ability to support the Neuro Society’s continued success. I would be grateful for your support :)
