Neuro: Co-President

Having held several leadership and organisational roles, we understand what it takes to create a society that is both engaging and valuable. As Co-Presidents, our goal is to enhance the Neuro Society by expanding opportunities for learning, collaboration and networking, ensuring that everyone can appreciate the power and potential of neuroscience.

Technology is revolutionising neuroscience, from AI-driven diagnostics to brain-computer interfaces and computational neuroscience. Understanding these advancements is vital for the next generation of neuroscientists and innovators. By integrating neurotechnology into our society, we aim to offer members exposure to tools shaping future brain research and clinical practice. Drawing from our experiences in computational neuroscience within the Neuro BSc, we will provide hands-on opportunities with neuroimaging software, machine learning in neurology anddata analysis techniques.

By establishing a mentorship scheme, we hope to connect students with professionals in neuroscience and neurotechnology, providing personalised guidance and insights into cutting-edge research. Collaborations with neurotech start-ups, AI researchers and engineers will enable coding workshops for neuro-related AI and discussions on the ethical implications of neurotechnology. Partnerships with computational neuroscience labs will provide skills in data processing, modelling and simulations, bridging the gap between theory and practice. We hope to offer these hands-on experiences through interactive workshops.

With our extensive experience in societies, sponsorship and neuroscience education, we are committed to making these improvements a reality. By fostering collaboration between neuroscience, technology and computational neuroscience, we can create a future-focused society that equips members with the knowledge and skills to thrive in this evolving field.
