Neuro: Co-President

Hi, I'm Rohan Boyapati, a Year 3 medical student at Imperial College London. I am running for Neuro Co-President because of my passion for neurology and neuroscience, which has been fueled by both personal experiences and attending various conferences.

My interest in neurology has grown since the early stages of medical school, with an emphasis on how neurological disorders impact patients’ lives. I had the opportunity to attend the International Neurology & Neurosurgery Conference, where I was introduced to developments in both neurology and neurosurgery. Furthermore, i also had the opportunity to observe cutting-edge neurosurgical techniques being researched at Charing Cross Hospital. These experiences reinforced my commitment to exploring the full scope of neurology, from the basic science to the clinical implications. As Co-President, I want to create more opportunities for students to learn about and engage with both neurology and neurosurgery in a supportive, hands-on way.

Plan:

  • Organize neuro-related events, including guest lectures and workshops, to increase awareness of neurological disorders and treatments.
  • Provide opportunities for students to get involved in neurology research and clinical placements.
  • Create a supportive community for neuro students through events that encourage collaboration and networking.
