Yesh Meadipudi

Hi my name is Yesh and I would love to be your Ophthalmology Soc secretary next year!

One of the more unique specialties in medicine, I have grown an interest in Ophthalmology through personal experience and placements. I believe Ophthalmology Soc has potential to be one of the largest societies in ICSM and I would love to be a part of making this happen. I have the necessary skills to be an excellent secretary, as I have embodied early organisation, pro-active problem solving and commitment to responsibilites in my current roles as ICSM Orchestra Manager and Medics Hockey Kit and Sponsorship Officer.

As secretary I will:

• Streamline organisation in order to maintain a strong record of meetings, societal planning and support the chairs in the running of the society.
• Communicate with committee so that there is complete transparency, being there to support the committee in their roles as well as encouraging suggestions to improve the way our society runs so that efficiency is optimised. Also I would lvoe to enhance collaboration within the society and with other academic societies in ICSM.
• Create a plan of action with the rest of committee to plan out the societal calander in advance so that each committee member feels supported in what roles they undertake through the year.

I am committed to supporting the great work of Ophthalmology Society in the upcoming year with integrity and responsibility, and together we can strengthen our society and grow it further.
