Hey everyone! I’m Sabrina, a second year Biotechnology Ventures student and I’m running to be your Social Secretary for the upcoming year. With a deep interest in STEM and a passion for creating impactful experiences, I am eager to bring fresh, engaging, and career-enhancing opportunities to the society.
Through my leadership as Vice President of ABACUS, the largest Asian society at Imperial, I have gained extensive experience in planning large-scale events, building partnerships, and ensuring seamless execution. My background in event coordination, coupled with my experience in professional networking and business, has prepared me to take WSET events to the next level.
If elected, I would love to organise more of the diverse social events, like bowling, mini golf, bar outings with heavily subsidised meals and drinks included! This can ensure events are welcoming and accessible to women from all backgrounds and create a supportive environment for everyone. I would also use this as a brilliant opportunity to collaborate with other societies to co-host events and expand our network and expose our members to other perspectives within the field.
With my organisational experience, industry knowledge, and commitment to delivering high-quality events, I am confident in my ability to make WSET an even more dynamic and supportive society for aspiring women in business. Thanks for your time and consideration!
