Suraubi Rajendra
Hi! I am Suraubi and I am excited to be running for the position of Year 5 co-ordinator. I believe that it is essential that the best possible support, guidance and resources are established for all students, but in particular 5th year students, who have just taken a year out doing their Bsc projects before merging back on to the MBBS curriculum. My organisational skills, experience and commitment to student advocacy is extensive and I would really love to be part of making the 5th year experience a memorable one!
My aims:
- Providing introductory talks to students settling in after completion of their BSc
- Talks and mock examinations for PACES
- Top educational resources from senior students and alumni by collating useful material and study guides
- Ensuring that I act as a liaison between society members and students to ensure that the student voice is heard and being acted upon
- Ensuring inclusivity and accessibility; recognising that learning styles and commitments can be different among students and so will act to accommodate for all
I believe I will be suited to this role as I am committed to effective communication and organisation. My prior experience in co-ordinating and facilitating academic initiatives alongside my peers, tutors and students will be highly useful to the role as a Year 5 co-ordinator and I hope to be able to make an impact on this society through this. Together, let’s make Year 5 a memorable year!
