Friends of Médecins Sans Frontières: Fundraising Coordinator

Hi, my name is Aishah and I’m a second-year medical student running for Fundraising Coordinator for Friends of MSF!

After engaging with Friends of MSF at Imperial for the past few years, I’m eager to finally contribute to the hard work that the committee does behind the scenes in organising fundraising activities. I’ve genuinely had so much fun in taking part and would love to now be the one organising so that other students can experience the same.

Fundraising is an element crucial to ensuring MSF’s ability to provide medical care to those in need around the world. In my previous roles, such as SFP Lead for SORA, I’ve gained hands-on experience in organizing and coordinating events. This skill will be useful in planning, managing, and promoting fundraising activities, while collaborating with various teams to ensure they are successful. Additionally, my time as Secretary for other societies has strengthened my organizational skills and attention to detail, both of which are essential for effective fundraising.

As Fundraising Coordinator, my goal is to maximize MSF’s reach and impact by running creative, engaging, and inclusive fundraising events that resonate with both students and the wider community. Whether it's charity runs, bake sales, or partnerships with local businesses, I want to create opportunities for our members to actively participate in raising funds for MSF's lifesaving missions.

I’d love to have the opportunity to work alongside a passionate, caring team and contribute to MSF’s principles.

I would love your vote!

Thank you!
