Sophia Liu

Hi ! I am Sophia a second year Biotechnology student running for the WSET liaison officer.

As your liaison officer, my goal is to strengthen connections between our society, external organizations, and the wider student community, ensuring that every member benefits from valuable networking, mentorship, and career opportunities.

As the External Vice President of Chinese Society, I have experience in organising many events and gained valuable opportunities to liaise with sponsors. It has given me a deep understanding of the importance of collaborative work as well as leadership.

I hope to establish and maintain partnerships with leading STEM organizations, research institutions, and alumni to provide members with exclusive internships, mentorship programs, and professional development opportunities. As well as create platforms for members to share their experiences, challenges, and successes.

With my strong communication skills and dedication to fostering a supportive community, I am ready to take on this role and help elevate our society’s presence and impact.
