Sijung Lee

Hello everyone! I’m Sijung, a second year Biochemistry student running for Women in SET Secretary. I’ve been a part of Women in SET since first year, going to events and networking sessions, and had the pleasure of being a part of the committee as a Felix Correspondent this year. I wish to contribute more to this community as Secretary to foster a strong, welcoming, and informative society for women at Imperial.

My Media Experiences:

• As the previous WSET Felix Correspondent, I’ve helped with various events, created “Women in SET x Felix” for members to write for our school newspaper, and published the first collaborative article.
• I was the Publicity & Marketing Officer for BiochemSoc, contributing to weekly emails, creating instagram posts, managing all social media accounts, and designing merchandise.
• I am a Writer and Copyeditor for Felix, and have written 7 articles this academic year.

My Vision & Goals:

• Better communication: Improve our weekly newsletters with concise summaries and more key details. Present information in a useful and accurate manner with straightforward links and appealing illustrations. Recap on successful events with further information.
• Efficient organisation: Categorise based on urgency and different types of events (networking, research, careers, socials, competitions, etc.). Keep track of agendas and other relevant opportunities for society members.
• Support & engagement: Ensure all members have a voice in our events and have a system to implement feedback to support the right initiatives.
