Hi everyone, I'm Aisha! I'm a first year medical student and I want to be Marketing Officer because I think social media is a great way to foster engagement in the society and provide opportunities for us to not only inspire prospective students but also empower current members of ACS! I pledge to use my platform to enhance ACS' online presence through entertaining and thought-provoking content. This will include media such as 'Day in the Life Tiktoks', 'Life as a black student at Imperial' and advice/relatable content. I already have a personal Tiktok account which I have devoted to supporting younger studenrs in their mediicne applications, along with general study help. I am aware of the vast opportunities that can arise via social media, as I used my Tiktok platform to set up a successful medicine mock interview venture, which I was able to financially benefit from whilst being able to provide help to those who need it. I am a really social person and I pride myself on being able to form a rapport with a diverse range of people - this is a quality that would help me as Marketing Officer because I would be able to make meaningful contributions to the ACS community and call upon others to feature in videos.
