Hello! I’m Andy, a second-year computing student, and I’m running for Sponsor Liaison and Industrial Events Coordinator to expand our industrial events and secure more sponsorships for Docsoc.

Why Me?

• Sponsorship Experience – I was part of a robotics team, and we worked tirelessly to negotiate with companies and successfully secured sponsorships.
• Active in Industrial Events – I’ve participated in numerous Indutsrial events, including ICHack, the recent G-Research Coding Challenge, and many more, giving me insight into what makes them valuable.
• Sponsor Engagement – I’ve spoken with many of our sponsors during these events and understand why they want and how to strengthen these relationships.
• Strong Communication & Negotiation – I’m persuasive, confident, and know how to secure the best deals.

My Goals

• Diversify Sponsors – Broaden our sponsorship base beyond just financial firms to include a wider range of industries. (As this year our sponsors are very finance-focused)
• Expand & Improve Industrial Events – Create more engaging and welcoming events, offering both short-term and long-term opportunities for students to participate in.
• Secure More Sponsors & Funding – Strengthen industry ties to bring in more funding and better opportunities for the society.
• Fair Sponsorship System – Ensure sponsors receive benefits proportional to their contributions, particularly for high-profile events like ICHack.

I bring proven sponsorship experience, industrial events participation, and strong negotiation skills to the role.
