Duygu Sarihan

Hi everyone!

I’m Duygu, a first year Molecular Bioengineering student from Istanbul. This year, the Turkish Society has welcomed me with open arms and has been a highlight of my Imperial experience. I’ve cultivated amazing friendships and created valuable memories. Next year, I want to give back to our society by running for Social Secretary and ensuring every fresher has the same positive experience I did.

As Social Secretary, I will continue our current committee’s legacy and organize events such as Rakı nights, pub crawls, and celebrations for national holidays. Moreover, I will organize game days so we can support our national sports teams together wearing red & white and connect with alumni to organize networking opportunities.

Having a good work-life balance at Imperial is hard sometimes. So, I want to make sure we have plenty of opportunities to relax and have fun. I’ll work to create an environment that ensures everyone feels included and enjoys their time together.

I’m eager to welcome next year’s newcomers as Social Secretary and continue making memories with all of you. I would love to have your support, and am looking forward to working with all of you!
