Ishaan Makkar

Hi everyone! I’m Ishaan, and I’m excited to run for Treasurer of Imperial Entrepreneurs.

I’ve always been passionate about startups and venture capital—I talk about new ideas with my friends every day, constantly thinking about what makes a business succeed. This isn’t just theory for me as I’ve been part of two startups myself, so I know the challenges of turning ideas into reality. I’ve also competed in hackathons, where I’ve had to build fast, problem-solve under pressure, and manage limited resources—all key skills for both startups and running a society’s finances efficiently.

As Treasurer, I’d bring both financial experience and startup energy. I’ve managed society budgets before and worked with the Union, so I know how to handle budgets, secure funding, and make sure money is spent in the most impactful way. My goal is to ensure we have the resources to run bigger and better events, fund ambitious projects, and create more opportunities for Imperial’s future founders.

Entrepreneurship is all about ideas, execution, and community, and I want to help make this society the best place for students to explore, build, and launch ventures. If you want a Treasurer who’s as passionate about startups as you are, vote for me—let’s build something great together!
