Hi everyone! I’m Michael, and I’m thrilled to run for Industrial Liaison. I’m passionate about connecting our studies to the engineering world—think career opportunities and cutting-edge industry trends.
What I’d Bring to the Role
- Industry Talks and Workshops: I’d reach out to professionals in interesting areas like renewable energy or robotics to come chat with us about their work. Maybe even set up some hands-on sessions where we can mess around with new tech ourselves.
- Site Visits: How awesome would it be to visit a local company or lab? I’d organize trips so we can see engineering in action and get a real feel for where our studies could take us.
On top of that, I’d make it a point to check in with all of you—see what industries you’re curious about, what events you'd want, or what you’d want out of this. That way, this role’s tailored to what we actually need and want.
