Subanu Suthakaran

Hi everyone! I’m Subanu, a third-year medic, and I’m running to be the Secretary for ICOGS :))

I’ve been interested in O&G ever since I first started considering medicine, and after getting hands-on experience during placement and meeting the lovely ICOGS community this year, my excitement has only grown!

I’ve really enjoyed being a part of ICOGS and would love to help make the community even better. As Secretary, I’d bring the organisational and time management skills, that I have honed balancing extracurriculars like IC boxing with external projects and daily tutoring, to the role ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Whether it’s keeping track of important logistics, managing communications or making sure everything is well-coordinated, you can count on me to stay on top of things.

I have handled administration for large-scale events hosted by my local Tamil charity and liasioned with guest contributors and committee members via written and verbal communication, which is crucial to the role of the secretary. I am just very excited to get more involved in ICOGS and make life easier for our hard-working committee members!
