Amit Mallya

My name's Amit Mallya and I a currently a second year medical student. One of the many reasons I am running for this role is because I think I will be equipped with the right assets and mindset to propel GP society to greater heights. As treasuer, I understand the responsibility involved in managing the financial side of things. Having been on several GP placements in the past, the GP has a relaxing environment and I have always enjoyed overshadowing the GPs there. The GPs are the primary contact of care and they sometimes go under the radar because of how glorified the other roles of surgeons and consultants are highlighted to be but in my eyes GPs deserve equal recognition and this is one of the many reasons I want to be involved in GP society.
