Hey everyone! I’m Susie, a current 2nd year Computing student excited to deliver another year of unforgettable events.
As Events Officer for Women in Computing - and as a professional DocSoc events attendee - I am passionate about crafting occasions that bring the community together. University is the perfect time to make memories and try new things, so one of my key goals is to introduce a wider variety of events. With the help of the generous DocSoc budget, I plan to introduce new events covering every interest, from gokarting trips, cocktail/mocktail making workshops to chill climbing socials.
Next, I believe in making your voices heard. I will actively seek and incorporate your feedback to improve what DocSoc has to offer, creating new channels to allow everyone to share their thoughts. Whether that be budget-friendly socials, slightly niche activities you’ve always wanted to try, or just a tried and tested classic, I will make sure there is an event for everyone.
