My names Adam, and I’m running to be your DoCSoc events officer, and I’d love to fix all these issues for you and more.
While we all love the events that DoCSOC has, I believe I am the right man to improve it even further. I would like to introduce an even wider range of social activities for us all to mingle, including but not limited to:
- DoCSoc themed house parties
- 5-a-side football tournaments
- Bowling and arcade events
- A DoCSoc valentine’s dating event (taking inspiration from MathSoc).
I would also like to involve some of your favourite lecturers, like Jamie Willis 🐐, in events where you can find out more about them and learn from all the infinite wisdom they have to offer.
I have always been a firm lover of the metric barnight, and if you vote for me, I will make sure we increase the number of these events, and I will ensure everyone gets enough drink tokens to keep them happy and drinking for the whole night. Not only this, I will make sure the boat party is even bigger and better (and cheaper), so we can all get our beautiful LinkedIn profile pictures set on the Thames 😍.
