Hey Biochemists!

I'm Xulun (Bebe), a first-year biochemistry student running for Secretary of the Biochemistry Society! With previous experience as Natural Sciences Society President and Biology Prefect, I am passionate in making sure that students feel included and inspired.

My vision is ensuring the weekly biochemistry newsletter is something to look forward to. I will kick off the week by introducing ‘Mystery Molecule Monday’ within the newsletter, where I will introduce a random molecule every week to pique new interests. Alongside this, I will implement ‘Study Tip of the Week’ to help you ace your exams and stay on top of your game. Plus, I will make sure to keep everyone informed about upcoming academic talks, socials, and more – ensuring that everyone is always in the loop!

But it is not just about the newsletter – I want to build a friendly and supportive biochemistry community where everyone feels welcome. I will be working behind the scenes to facilitate smooth communication within the committee and coordinate plans efficiently, ensuring everything runs as smoothly as a well-regulated metabolic pathway.

As your Secretary, I will make sure that everyone stays updated on the latest biochemistry news, events, and opportunities. Together, we can create a community that is not only academically strong but also fun, engaging, and filled with good vibes! :)
