Kavin Kodikara Arachchi

Having had the privilege of being a subcom webmaster this year, I am eager to contribute even more to the society as a lead webmaster.

The valuable experience and insight I gained by helping develop Sapphire's website, combined with my familiarity with its codebase and the skills I've gained during my computing degree, put me in a strong position to build upon it next year.

In particular, my goals for next year's Sapphire website include:

• Providing clearer, more comprehensive information about tickets and event details
• Incorporate analytics and cookies to help target sales and marketing more effectively
• Addressing other user concerns, including the site's long loading time

As a Lead Webmaster, I would also further enhance our social media presence by leveraging analytics and data-driven strategies (like A/B testing), especially in the run-up to Sapphire, and adjust our approach based on these insights to maximise engagement.
