I'd love to be 2s Captain next year. Like many of you, hockey is such a massive part of my life in ICSM, and I love playing for the 2s. I'm constantly in awe of the level of ability of everyone and I'm really hoping to continue the winning streak we've had this year!
I am aware that next year the team might be looking a little bit different, but I think I would be well-equipped to ensure the 2s are keeping up their incredible hockey skills and having a fun time playing hockey - because at the end of the day, that’s what we are all here for. It’s important to me that we keep up commitment to training, improve as a team, build confidence in every player, develop new skills and perfect our existing skills.
Having been Social Sec for the past year with Maxine, I have demonstrated my organisation, timekeeping and dedication to the club (mainly through painting my face at any given opportunity). I think I can be encouraging and inclusive, and also decisive and driven. While I don’t play outfield, I love watching the team play and look forward to seeing how we can improve and develop myself as a player as well.
I am hoping to bring high-energy, fun warm-ups, more team socials and create a fun and supportive environment to maintain an excellent standard of hockey. I look forward to giving the club my all, and hopefully captain the 2s to another winning streak!
