Yasmin Fryer

Hey girlies, I’m Yasi and I am running to be your 1s captain next year! Having captained teams at my previous club, county level, and serving as vice-captain of the 1st XI at school, I have gained invaluable leadership experience in organising and motivating teams. Hockey has been a huge part of my life since I was seven, and over the years, I have played at various levels, competing in numerous leagues and tournaments.

This year, I have ABSOLUTELY LOVED being part of ICSMHC ❤️ The club’s welcoming and supportive environment has played a huge role in making my first year at Imperial so enjoyable, and I would love the opportunity to contribute to this atmosphere for new members next year. Whether it’s freshers or those new to the club, I want to ensure that everyone feels included, supported, and excited to play.

As 1s captain, I would like to continue Amy Li’s vision of integration between teams as I think this has helped with numbers at training, improvement of players and makes the club feel unified. I would also like to organise more team socials such as post-match recovery sessions💪, movie nights 🎬 and bottomless brunches 🍹

My experience, dedication, and passion for ICSMHC make me confident that I can fulfil this role effectively, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment for everyone in the team.
