Nissi Okine

Civil Engineering: Livic Editor

I'm Nissi, a 3rd Year Civil Engineering student and I am hoping to be your LIVIC editor next year.

As the editor of LIVIC, I am committed to informing, engaging, and inspiring our academic community. This newsletter is more than just a collection of updates—it is a platform that shares inspirations, explores interests, highlights achievements, addresses challenges, and shares aspirations within our department.

I envision that it should connects students, faculty, and industry professionals, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaboration. It will be a space where ideas converge, accomplishments are celebrated, and discussions about the past and future of civil engineering thrive.

Diversity and inclusivity are essential. The newsletter will be an open platform where there is diversity of in the minds and voices that are heard, and contributions from the entire department are encouraged. Innovation and inspiration will be at the core, showcasing emerging trends and real-world applications that push the boundaries of civil engineering.

The main aim is to make this something that both staff and students would read as part of their experience in the Civil Engineering department. I believe that LIVIC is and should be for all students and hope to make this a reality for many people.
