Hey everyone! My name is Ronak and I am looking to be a part of your Art Club Committee this year.
A little bit about me: ever since completing my Fine Art A-levels in 2021 and displaying oil paintings and photography at my first exhibition, I've been a passionate creative, practicing both digital and physical media. My primary focuses right now are developing illustrations on Procreate whilst continuing to hone my photography and traditional media techniques.
Going to the life drawing sessions this year and using the Beit studio for my own work has been incredibly fulfilling. The resources and third spaces the Art Club have provided me have been instrumental in me achieving a balance between my creative practice and academic degree. This can be a tough juggle at a STEM-heavy university like Imperial, and I'd love to get more involved next year and help make this easier for incoming and current members.
As the current Wellbeing representative for my year and also employed by the College as an illustrator, I'm not only quite familiar with the various processes and departments at Imperial but also have the organisational and canvassing skills to get you the resources and sessions you want! With your support, I'd be able to help come up with fun new session ideas, facilitate their delivery and hopefully upgrade the available resources at the Beit studio.
