Thomas Sutherland

Hi! My name is Thomas, and I would love to be the gliding publicity officer for next academic year. My plan is to continue the great job done by this year’s publicity officer and more. After every session, I will post some of the best photos on the insta story, and every 2-3 weeks the highlights will be posted in bigger posts. My hope is to draw more people into the society by showing them the beauty and thrill of gliding through social media.

I am currently a first-year Mech-eng student and joined the society at the start of this year. So far, I have done a total of 3 trips to Lasham which have given me some of the best experiences ever! I love the sensation of a winch launch, and finally feeling some coordination between the rudder pedals and turning was a great moment

I love photography and videography which I have been practicing for many years, so I think I have a good eye for photos and would be highly suitable for this role. Thank you for reading!
