Amna Rida

Hello everyone! I’m Amna, a second-year medical student with a strong passion for global health. I’m excited to run for Secretary of SfGH, where I aim to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the society by maintaining clear communication, organisation, and documentation. My aim is to support the committee in delivering impactful initiatives that drive engagement and awareness of global health challenges.

I believe that meaningful change starts with structure and communication - ensuring that ideas are documented, meetings are productive, and members stay informed. A well-organised society enables greater engagement and more effective action.

My experience in mentoring, tutoring, and organising events has strengthened my ability to manage schedules, coordinate communication, and ensure clarity in planning. I am detail-oriented, motivated, and dedicated to ensuring that SfGH operates smoothly, allowing the team to focus on impactful activities. As the secretary I aim to:

• Maintain clear, accessible records of meetings and decisions to enhance clear communication.
• Ensure all key communications are delivered efficiently and on time.
• Use structured organisation tools to optimise meeting programs and planning.
• Coordinate all duties with SfGH’s mission of promoting awareness and action in global health.
