Hi, I’m Yiting, a first-year Physics student and (hopefully) your next ICSS Vice-President!

It is no exaggeration to say that ICSS has defined much of my freshmen experience. Meeting new friends at Sojourn, discovering the joy of skiing (and falling) during Ski Trip, and dancing for the first time at Major Event were all unique experiences impossible otherwise.

That’s the magic of ICSS. It serves as a home away from home while providing opportunities for members to step out of their comfort zone. As your Vice President, I will work alongside the committee to enhance the magic of ICSS through three main goals.

Increased guidance for freshmen

To expand the reach of academeet by allocating budget for "course families" where seniors and freshmen from the same degree have a platform to meet up in Term 1 and discuss the ins and outs of their respective courses.

More KILUQ events

KILUQ events serve as a unique way to connect with Singaporeans outside of Imperial. Whether it's a simple picnic at Regent’s Park, an extravagant ball, or finding Dishoom vouchers love at Comatch, I aim to create more of such opportunities

Greater first-year involvement in committee activities

Stepping up for a committee position can be daunting, but ICSS needs capable and passionate members to take that step. Establishing subcommittees where freshmen lead events under the guidance of committee members could be a good way to stoke interest.
