Kelvin Wong

For those in the novice squad who may not know me, I'm Kelvin - one of the coxes (and occasional sculler). I'm running for Boat Club Secretary as I have a much shared love for this club and want to help keep it on its upwards trajectory, ensuring it remains both a place of enjoyment and high performance.

As a cox, I already have an inherent role to communicate and create strong connections with both coaches and rowers. This would naturally equip me for this position where clear, timely communication is essential. As a committee member, I believe it is crucial for the Secretary to understand the needs and priorities of you (every ICBC rower), especially when opinions differ. If voices are not being heard, I will ensure they are represented.

I am highly responsive to emails and messages, coordinating with many individuals and teams on a daily basis. This would be especially valuable during the busiest times of the year for the Secretary, aiding the smooth operation of the club.
