Hello lovely Sailors,

I’m running to be your next treasurer. Lilli did an incredible job in the past year and I’m aspiring to live up to that and use this position to give back to the club for the amazing last two years I’ve been with sailing.

As treasurer, I am aiming to keep things affordable for the club and its members, whether that is talking to QM about membership and boat parking fees, our merch orders, socials, competitions, and everything involving Icicle. My ability to piss people off, in combination with my excel skills, will help me to ensure that people pay in time.

Beyond financials, I am aiming to work with Trip Sec to grow Summer Sail Week and with Dev Sec to expand social sailing. This will allow us to develop sailing into more of a club than just a squad, which is important to demonstrate to the union. Additionally, i want to coordinate with Sponsorship and Alumni Sec to secure additional funding.

Looking at the current state of our boats, my main priority will be ensuring sufficient funding for spares. Ultimately this will remain a committee decision, but I will try my best to save the RHS boats, use/sell the current third flight as spares, and continue trying to get us a new flight of boats.
