My first experience with ICUMS was back in Malaysia at Freshers’ Camp — my first glimpse into this wonderful community. Since then, even thousands of miles from home, ICUMS has continued to bring that same sense of belonging — whether it was celebrating Deepavali with great company, enjoying CNY with good food, or performing on stage to a huge audience at MNight just days ago. These moments have made my time here truly unforgettable.

Of course, all these amazing experiences come at a cost (literally). From large-scale productions like MNight to fun socials with friends and travel subsidies, every aspect of ICUMS relies on careful financial planning. A well-managed budget ensures we can continue to host fun, meaningful events while still maintaining strong corporate relations with our sponsors and supporting all other aspects of the society.

If elected, I will endeavour to:

• Work closely with other committee members, especially Events Officers and ELOs, to create a well-balanced and sustainable budget that supports all aspects of ICUMS.
• Identify areas to optimize costs without compromising on quality or quantity.
• Increase financial transparency by making ICUMS’s financial status more accessible and clear to members.
• Seek alternative sources of funding, such as union grants, to ease financial constraints.

I have experience with budgeting for committees and a keen eye for detail. I'd love the chance to use my skills to give back to this awesome community by making next year even better for ICUMS, and I hope to have your support!
