Hello! I’m Alya Afeeqa, and I’m running for Communications Secretary to bring creativity, clarity, and connection to ICUMS. I am passionate about design and the arts, with experience in publicity and digital design. I’ve worked with various apps like Canva, Picsart and Lightroom to create various creative contents for my previous societies and MNight 2025 too! With strong creative and organizational skills, I aim to enhance ICUMS’ engagement, marketing, and cultural outreach as well as online visibility.
My Plans & Goals:
📌 Enhancing External Presence – Expanding our social media reach, particularly on Instagram, with engaging content like Reels, Podcasts, and event highlights to attract new members and audiences.
🎭 Effective Publicity for MNight 2026 – Developing a structured marketing strategy to increase ticket sales and secure sponsorships for a successful flagship event.
🤝 Recruiting Communications Associates – Opening roles for freshers and committee members in areas like graphics, videography, and content creation to promote talent and productivity.
🌏 Cultural Promotion & Collaborations – Working with other societies, alumni, and cultural organizations to promote Malaysian culture through storytelling, joint events, and outreach initiatives.
