Hey yall! I’m Yoyo, and I am running to be your next ABACUS President! Abacus has made my past six months memorable, and I want to create that same experience for you. My goal is to make ABACUS the ultimate space for cultural celebration, fun and lifelong friendships. Here’s my vision, using the very name of our society:
Adventurous - More thrilling club nights like Tenten with exciting dress-code themes, a seamless ticketing process, but also creative socials like Squid Game: Abacus Edition! Let’s make every week something to look forward to.
Belonging - ABACUS should be a space where we can come together and appreciate what makes Asian culture special. Whether it’s reminiscing about childhood memories, enjoying our comfort foods such as dim sum, I hope it can continue to be where culture brings us closer and everyone feels at home.
Active - I will boost engagement with more interactive events, better outreach to get YOU involved.
Celebrating - From Chinese New Year to Lantern Festival, we’ll go all out with vibrant traditions, where we can embrace and share our heritage with love.
Unforgettable - Abacus is more than just a society— it’s a family. I want to make sure every event feels special, and it can become your go-to escape from the pressure of work, also capture memories you’ll never forget.
Seasoned - More hotpot nights, barbecues, and boba runs— because nothing brings people together like flavourful Asian food!
