Hi! I'm Tom and for those who don't know me, I'm the current Trip Secretary of ICSC and have been with the club for 2 years.

My Priorities for 25/26 at ICSC:

1. Boat Maintenance: prioritise repairs for RHS and general upkeep of both flights, whilst continuing the funding application for new Fireflies and looking into the possibility of purchasing new training boats.
2. Social Sailing: Develop sailing into a wider interconnected club, represented by social, development, windsurf and squad members under one roof: ICSC. Two social sailing oppurtunities in collaboration with QM during term 1 would be initially offered before expanding our offerings into more formal sessions during the summer months, alongside RYA training.
3. Windsurf: Support the Windsurf Secretary allowing the blossoming of Windsurf into a tight-knit, self-run community fit for purpose by October, and support their growth by looking into hosting a competition to increase event management expertise.
4. Competitions: Continue to compete at a variety of events catering to all levels of the squad and potentially development members. Additionally, continuing to pursue other disiplines by entering BUSA Fleets, Match Racing and Women's events by coaching and converting current female crews into helms during term three.
5. Re-evaluate funding models to better compensate drivers by using a set mileage rate and increasing event subsidy to keep event weekends affordable.

Next year will undoubtedly be fundamental to the club's continued long-term success, and I KNOW that with a strong, committed committee we will fulfil the 5 year plan.
