Hi everyone,

I'm Nehir, Aerosoc's secretary and a second-year aero student. I want to be your Aerosoc President next year!

As secretary this year, I’ve learned a lot about how the society functions, the best ways to make our events happen, and how we can improve Aerosoc. Since starting my aero journey, Aerosoc has introduced me to so many career opportunities. With all the studying we have to do, researching career paths and figuring out how to achieve them can be overwhelming. Hearing directly from companies and people who have been through the process makes it so much easier. The career talks have motivated me to push forward with my degree and keep up with the workload—not to mention the free pizza! 😉

I want to inspire more students through these events, and I’d love to make your wishes for Aerosoc come true.

As president, I plan to organize company site visits and workshops to gain hands-on experience. Aero students often need CV and cover letter feedback, so bringing in professionals who can help might be useful for us.

But it’s not all about academics, we deserve some fun too! The boat party is an unforgettable event, but I’d love to organize more frequent socials, including cliffhanger competitions between different year groups and pub crawls where everyone can engage with each other.
