Mathematics: President

Hey everyone, I’m Mo, and I’m running to be your next MathSoc president. As an active member of the department and MathSoc, I’ve seen how much we can do when we come together.

MathSoc is all about building connections - whether that’s with each other or with top companies. We already have strong sponsors like Jane Street, Citadel, and Optiver, and I want to make sure we’re leveraging those relationships to get real opportunities for internships and CV-boosting experiences. You deserve access to the best firms, and I’ll make sure we continue to get them involved with networking events, talks, and internship opportunities.

But it’s not just about the companies. I want to make sure MathSoc is a bridge between the students and the department - someone who’s speaking up for you when it comes to more formal policies and making sure we have the resources and support we need. I'll work to make sure your voices are heard.

I promise more collaboration with other departments and other universities, such as developing talks and hosting social events done in previous years, like Mario Kart nights. Also, there will be more events within the maths department for students to build connections over pizza.

I know we can do more: more events, more socials, more industry connections. It’s about making sure you have everything you need to succeed.

So, if you want more real opportunities, more talks, and more chances to connect with the top firms, vote Mo.

Thanks for your support!
