Ahmed Bham
As a passionate and dedicated member of the Imperial College Physics community, I am excited to run for President of the Physics Society. My aim is to strengthen our society by fostering a more connected, engaging, and inclusive environment for all students. My aim is to strengthen our society by fostering a more connected, engaging, and inclusive environment for all students regardless of their backgrounds.
Under my leadership, I will strive to organize more interactive and accessible revision sessions, mentorship programs, and student-led tutorials to help members excel academically. I will also expand our guest lecture series and invite leading physicists to share insights on cutting-edge research and career opportunities. I will also establish stronger links with research groups and external organizations to provide hands-on experiences and networking opportunities, ensuring that opportunities are accessible, with a particular emphasis on supporting women and minority groups in STEM. I shall organize more exciting social events than the previously offered game nights and movie nights, such as more inter-departmental and inter-university meetups. I also plan to partner with schools, colleges and sixth forms to inspire the next generation of physicists to pursure further education in physics, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds. I have worked closely with Elias Fink, and Victor Kojey-Merle to learn of methods to go about executing my plans when I am elected, and I have been formally endorsed by both.
