Orchestra - Symphony: Chair

ICSO is an incredible community that I truly cherish, and we have an exciting year ahead. I aim to bring true transparency and foster a family spirit within our community. As Chair, I want every member to stay informed and have a consistent way to easily influence our decisions—from repertoire and seating to venues. Some initiatives I want to bring include:

Implement a voting system for repertoire that combines our music director’s expertise with your preferences.
Enhance transparency by regularly opening committee meeting agendas to member suggestions and asking for input.

Whether you just want to show up and make music or engage more actively, your voice counts, and you should feel right at home.

I'm confident in my ability to lead our orchestra this exciting year. I have experience serving on committees in other societies (and know how to navigate union matters). For example,

As Secretary of Space Society, I revitalised a hackathon programme that drew dozens of signups, and I continue to coordinate and balance the needs of our four technical projects. And
As a technical director in startups, more than contributing my own knowledge, I find ways to utilise the talents of those working with me.

As Chair, I will not only manage the orchestra’s operations but also actively seek input from our talented members and committee. I am committed to ensuring clear communication, encouraging collective decision-making, and creating an environment where every member feels welcome and valued.
