Ruka Nakano

Japanese: Vice President

Hello! I am Ruka and I will be running for the Vice president of the Japanese society next year!

Our Japanese society should be more than just a place to meet people; it should be a thriving hub of culture, opportunity, and connection. Whether you’re here to celebrate Japanese traditions, improve your Japanese, or find a Japan-related career path, I want all of you to have the best possible experience. As your vice president, I will give our president my all support to help our society grow into a welcoming and opportunity-filled community!

If elected, I will focus on expanding our cultural events by introducing a wider variety of activities that allow you to immerse yourselves in the Japanese traditions. From celebrating authentic festivals like Tanabata to organising food workshops, I will ensure that our events are both meaningful and enjoyable, truly enriching your experience even more!

As your career officer, I am dedicated to providing sufficient opportunities for you to take charge of your career journey. I will work on establishing stronger ties with alumni and career agencies in Japan-related fields, such as inviting former members of our society to share their first-hand experiences through our extensive connections. I will also host regular career panels and networking events to equip you with the skills needed to navigate your way through.

With my enthusiasm and dedication, I am ready to take on this role and contribute to making our society an enjoyable place for both you and me :)
